Full-Service Head Shop for 1FZ-FE in Southern California

Hi All,

I'm sure this has been beaten to death. But I'm looking for a full-service shop that can do the head gasket change on my 1FZ-FE; knows all the right parts to get, does the labor, and can do all the ( while you're in there stuff too ) I'm located in Southern California. Preferably looking for San Bernardino, Riverside or Orange County shops. But will do LA and San Diego for the right place.

Just looking to bring it to an expert, drop it off and have it all done right. So I don't ever have to worry about it

1997 FZJ-80 3x Locked

I'd only trust Kyle. If I'm dropping $15K+ on 100% OEM new & vintage 1FZ-FE (except the valve cover which I reused), I want the owner-tech 100% dedicated to my build and not splitting time with a bumper chop/weld next to a coolant flush job. I supplied the parts to keep costs down, but he knows what's up if you're willing to pay for the convenience. Kyle only works on the engine (don't bring him the truck).

The beauty below is now 2.5 years, 28K miles young. Zero issues. Not a drop of oil topped up. Can hit 90 mph with 37" mud tires no problemo.

That's incredible work and thank you for the suggestion, I was looking for a place where I could just drop the whole truck off, but If I get a wild hair up by a$$ and decide to pull it, I know where to go.

Kyle at Martin Davidson's Automotive Machine Shop in LA. They've been doing Cruiser engines since the 60 Series came out. He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named (Joey) had his totally OCD FZ built there ~12 years ago.
