Got the frame plated today, the welds are pretty ugly but I’m past caring at this point

Update: I added a resonator to the exhaust and started working on the front brake lines. The sunsong lines from rock auto don’t fit the 80 calipers which is kinda annoying.
I did drive the 80 on the interstate on the way back from Costco which is kinda cool. It’s felt pretty good, I think I’m going to add in a little bit more front sway bar and a little bit of low speed compression for the drive down to Utah. It’s drives great for short runs but it feels a little floppy changing lanes. Or maybe I’m just not used to driving an offroader and I’m being a princess.

I’d use one of the supplied holes and shorten the sway bar arm!

I did something today. I mostly mounted the oil cooler. I can’t tell if the crossmembers crooked if the body is crooked, or if I just mounted it crooked. I also couldn’t get one of the to nuts to seat so it’s mounted with 3. Apart of me cares a lot, but appart of me knows that it’ll get hidden behind the bumper and I’ll never think about it again

What’s not over priced especially with Land Cruisers? With the PSC you get a better and easily replaced filter and a second return port (on the correct p/n) for when you install a hydro booster. Plus, it’s a handsome unit with a lid that actually seals.

I went with the Chase Bays reservoir with the S-14 mount and modified it a bit. Way cheaper than the PSC and has been great

I’m going to be chopping the lip off and welding on a 3.5” piece of exhaust pipe to make it deeper. I saw the trick in a pirate post from like 14 year ago or something. It’s fun/ easy/ cheap
Others here on mud have done the same with great results
