So I have a 1972 FJ40 that has the Fuel Vapor tank in the middle seat.
But I want to use the middle seat for a arm rest and cup holder.
I had a friend over today that is a expert Jaguar restorer and he said you can get rid of it?
If this is true how do you go about this? Also do you need the charcoal canister?

Cap it off; it is a liability.

If you want to run a charcoal canister, you can do so, but you'll have the issue of having a lot of hose inside the cab to re-use the fittings on THAT stock tank. Then the hoses become the liability.

So do you just remove the separator and run a line straight to the charcoal canister?

I'm trying to figure out if you need the Fuel vapor tank at all so I can just run a line from the tank to the engine and then have from the return line straight back into the tank..

Do you know what the worst will happen if I dont run the fuel vapor tank? will I get added pressure build up?
