Fuel Tank Vent Questions (1 Viewer)

I'm in the middle installing new the fuel system on my 1HDT swap in my 80 Series. Can anyone help me with the routing of the vent line on a diesel tank? There seems to be a check valve on it per the fiche (90917-10082 I think?) and then goes to a mystery grommet. On my parts truck it's just poked into the frame rail.

Is there any concern about water being sucked into this? Should I tee this into the diff breather line (which I will be running up high)?

It's a one-way check valve. Water won't go into the tank. It's supposed to be up high on the frame.
