I pulled the fuel tank to have it cleaned and painted. I had to remove the original rubber insulation pieces / strips so they wouldn’t get damaged during tank cleaning at the tank shop. Tank is done and repainted on the outside with black paint and I’m ready to put it back on. Any recommendations on what sort of adhesive I should use to glue the rubber pieces back on the tank? I took a picture of the placement of the individual pieces just need to know what to put them on with. Thanks for any tips.

old school solvent based contact cement? remains pliable. I used that to stick soft EVA weatherstripping foam on the back of the radiator - still good after 2 years.
