I watched them put it on a lift and drop it down, which completely surprised me. Maybe because I have drawers in the rear, but they didn't so much as mention that there was a "challenge". That being said, a friend of mine (former automotive engineer for Honda) advised that on a '19, the top access cover is under the second row passenger seat, which shouldn't have been an issue even with drawers.
Different strokes I guess. Or maybe they had removed a second row before or reaching the back fasteners with drawers spooked them. As long as it was changed you should be GTG.

The problem with the drawers is not the access panel, it's getting to the seam in the carpet so they can peel it up and out of the way. My drawers cover up this seam.

It's always a good thing when ones drawers cover up their seam.

But the interior access panel is supposedly not big enough to pull the pump assembly, just big enough to disconnect the hoses/harness.

So the tank has to come down regardless.

So I guess having an older 200 (2014) isn't a bad thing any longer?

Owning a 2020 year 200 series, normally I would be able to pass on this thread, as I believe the updated pump is in mine. However, I have read the entire thread and linked threads as I will be pulling the tank to install the DeatschWerks DW300c which is capable of 340 Liters (89 gallons) of Fuel Per Hour. This pump comes with the Harrop 2650 supercharger that I have on order. I wonder if I should have ordered a larger LRA tank than the 12.5 gallon I have on order?

Had mine done today. They dropped the tank and didnt need to do anything on the top side

I took your statement that the opening was smaller in the newer versions thereby making the older ones easier to replace the fuel pump.
I don't think there is a difference in the access panel size between pre-facelifted and facelisted 200s. Is there?
