Ok for some time i thought there might be a draw on my lx450s electrical system as every time i went to start it after it had sat for a little wile it cracked over slower then normal, then today i noticed the fuel guage always registers even when im out of the truck and it has been sitting for a long time. should this always be powered? i dont remember it being that way before. any ideas as to what could be the problem?

thanks
mike

The fuel gauge is "dampened" and stays put when the vehicle is powered off. It is not "always hot".

Do not lose any sleep. Your fuel gauge is not powered when the ignition is off. I will read exactly what you have tanked up all the time though......

lx- define "a while"? A few days, a few weeks? If you have your alarm system on, that is the biggest draw I can think of over a long period of time.

well a week or so the truck cracks slow, a few days its slower then norm, at first i thought for i might just need to do starter contacts (which maybe the case) however it just seems like the truck looses power faster then it should when it sits.

thanks again to your input

mike
