I have a 1980 FJ40 that I'm close to getting back on the road. Going through the wiring right now and I've noticed that the gas gauge always reads full when the key is turned on (goes back to empty when key is turned off). I've put about 4 gallons of gas in the tank. The existing tank and sending unit are brand new. Sending unit was purchased through SOR. Any ideas on what's going on?
