Looking to verify the original orientation of the fuel filler door. Based on the pictures I've seen, it doesn't seem to be standard across even same year FJ40s.

So, where does the hinged side of fuel filler door for a 2/79 really go?

a) forward
b) aft

The hinged side is aft. Facing the door, the key is on the right and hinge is on the left. Mine's a 2/79 too.
