Hi All
I read somewhere that the fuel feed pump had a filter/strainer so I thought I'd inspect mine as I was going to change the fuel filter anyway. I removed the inlet bolt and found the strainer, very little fuel leaked out into a bucket I placed underneath. The PO must have kept up on the maint cuz it was really clean, so I replaced everything along with 2 new copper gaskets from Napa ($2.38). The copper gaskets were thinner than the OEM. The old gaskets appear very useable.Hope this is usefull:beer:

Good to know. Thanks for posting it up.

Wonder if the PO removed this for cleaning once and awhile? Looking at that filter it appears it only will filter for chunks of stuff. As smaller stuff will go right thru to the main filter.

Yes, looks like it was cleaned recently. It's definitly a strainer designed to filter larger particles. I encorage others to check theirs and let us all know (pic's welcome) how you make out. A cold beer goes out to the funkiest strainer. I'm courious to see Brownbears cuz it sounds like this could be his first inspection:)
