well i have had the same problems as i have been reading about in a few threads on the forum, suddenly would not idle under 1500 rpms ,well i shorted out the solenoid, checked for a clicking noise at the same time, and could here it clicking , checked for vac leaks ,check timing and so on i could not figure out the problem but i still went back to the fuel shut of being the problem, so i removed the solenoid to see if it was doing any thing in side when it was shorted out but i couldnt tell, so i took out the die grinder and cut the tip off and reinstalled it , now i can get the engine to idle down to a normal idle, however it is idling to rich, the idle mixture screw is un responsive all the way in or screwed way out ??????
