What all does this fuel control relay do? I was going to just run wiring to the butterfly shutoff (12HT). I don’t think there is a need for any wiring to anything else fuel related? Unless this helps switch fuel tanks since I have dual tanks?

Given your vehicle never shipped with the 12HT.. that Fuel Control Relay was used when a 2H was fitted to control the operation of the EDIC (2H Shutoff mechanism) that you now don't have. It has nothing to do with your dual tanks. If you have a 12HT fitted, you can safely remove it.

Thank you, yes the truck came originally with a 2H.
I may need that. Replacing my 2H with a 1HZ and not sure if I still need it, but mine is fried.
