Fuel Boost Control Valves

My '90 1HZ doesn't have one yet the current HZJ75s at work have them. Always thought they were called boost compensators even though the 1HZs at work had them. Altitude sensor makes sense. Would one of these work as a "boost compensator" to give me better economy off boost?

Mickldo, have you taken this any further?I am thinking about finding a way to lower my fueling of boost but keeping it the same at boost?:confused:

also for this moments when you run out of boost .. at low rpm push the gas and you get a black smoke puff in your exhaust ..

I thought you run " lean " without boost and the boost compensator, do the job adding more fuel ( diesel ) when you have more " air " in the intake.
