Front Wheel bearing replacement on 4th Gen 4R?

I haven't replaced a rear bearing but I have had the rear brakes apart and axles out when I replaced the whole third member along with axle seals on a 3rd gen and suspect a GX470/4th gen is very similar. It's a little bit of work getting the brakes apart and unbolting the backing plate but then the hub/axle/bearing all come out as one piece. The hardest part is removing the pressed on bearing. It doesn't seem like that big of a job to replace one with the right tools.

Thank you. I’m considering taking mine out and having a shop remove the old bearing and replace with a new one.

You'll lose a little gear oil but might as well take the opportunity to drain and refill with new oil.

Thank you for the advice. I’ll do that when I reinstall the axle.

It will probably be a few months. I need to find a local shop willing to press the bearings for me.

Oh, and might as well replace the seal while you've got it all apart.
