I just had the bottom of my seats done. They look great.
I asked around and I decided to go vinyl. Leather was just crazy
expensive.

His web site said the non OEM leather price was $400-$550 per seat bottom, ouch!

They charged me $400 for both bottoms in vinyl.
I forgot to mention that they reshaped the foam to it's original form. They put new foam. New padding and with a carving knife shaped it to it's original form.
I'm very pleased.

I got to sit on these seats last night, and Alvaro's shop did a great job. It looks and feels like leather.

Plus that way it is an easy clean up when Freddy craps his pants.

Our old FJ55 had vinyl seats. I spent many a summer baking on those as a child with no AC. It build character! And it was easy for cleanups. I remember when our dog threw up all over the back seat when we were on a family vacation. It wiped right up. I love my mom!

You nailed it. It was Freddy's pucker factor that did my seat in. Hell's Gate is not for everyone.

Remember many BMW's and Mercedes come with vinyl standard- although it feels just like leather, many people are fooled including owners.

There are some amazing synthetic cloths out there now, not just the "restaurant grade" stuff

- can't wait to check it out Alvaro!
