i noticed my front hard brake line is crushed in one spot -- does it suppose to be - could this cause soft brakes its the one that runs on the drive shaft housing number -- 43

Only way to know, is have some one push on the brakes and check to see how much that line swells up. Could have damaged the internal nylon mesh and rubber in the brake line. If its hard steel line, no that will not cause soft brakes. Could be air in the brakes or 40,41,32 need to be replaced.

replace #43 and bleed the brakes. the line is available at the dealer for $25 or so.
soft pedal is usually caused by air in the system. make sure you bench-bleed the master properly.
most of the time a crushed line is due to thevehicle not being secured properly on a tow-truck or trailer.......

I have a dent in mine where a tow truck put his hook to get the 60 up on a flatbed.

I don't think it is affecting my brakes but I probably should replace it right?

could'nt hurt. that sure qualifies as a "preventable issue" in my book.......
