can anyone suggest a company that makes a good front end kit for a 83 fj 60?

What do you mean with the words "front end kit" ?

thats what i said. my local mech. told me that it would be a wise investment to get a "front end" kit. he told me to contact a company by the name of PST. i did and low and behold they dont sell anything for cruisers. ive been calling CCOT for the last two days and they wont answer aswell as the guy/guys at cruiser outfitters. im guessing that i need all the parts associated with steering and the front suspension minus springs and shocks. hope this helps

I'm guessing he was talking about a rebuild kit for your knuckles.

You need a lot more details here!

Zack

There's lotsa parts on the front end. Sounds like he wants to take your $$$$

You need a FSM and a set of wrenches.

Or at a min a new mechanic. Sounds liek he doesnt know cruisers.

thats what im thinking. i talked to the boys at CCOT and explained my situation to them. they said it sounds like a tie-rod end kit with new bushings will do the trick. so i guess we will see. thanks for the replys

I would think it would be a knuckle rebuild kit myself...

Do the ends of your axles drip grease on the inside of your tires?

they sure do...this sounds like a lot more work

it is a lot of work, but its really not all that hard, as long as you pay attention to how everything comes off, so that you can put it all back on in the right spot.

knuckle kit is what you need then, the tie rods won't hurt though, but you probably need to rebuild the knuckles.
