I recently opened my front differential to install a Harrop e locker and found a tooth missing from the ring. I’m currently running 4.30 gears on 35s in a ‘98. I wanted to get opinions on should I regear to 4.88s or wait for a used 4.30 ring to pop up on the internet.

I currently leaning towards a used 4.30 ring gear because of cost and lead times for gear sets. Does anyone have a used 4.30 ring gear they want to get off there hands?

I regeared my 2001 100 last year and have the stock gears in storage. I can probably get them to take some pics early next week. They have 115k miles on them. Let me know.

I have "35's"... aka tires that measure 34.7 according to the manufacturer.

The truck is a lot better with the 4.88's IMO.

I vote re-gear, especially given your elevation.

Do you still have factory ring/pinion gears. I may be interested...mine failed
