Hit a few trails this weekend. Nothing major.
ARB compressor (dual) took a crap. Nothing but issues with this model.
ARB carrier in front and rear. Thought I was protected, even unlocked.
Anyway, we to take a little climb and rear tries were slipping. Very low throttle.
Spotter up front and I heard a loud pop.
Sounds like a ring gear but has anyone blown up the ARB before?
Removed front drive shaft and hub to drive home.
Any thoughts?
Video is right after the loud pop.

Yeah, I plan to open it today or tomorrow.
Will post up some pics

I've not heard of ARB locked carriers broken, I my self have TJM locker. But I have heard of bolts coming loose /off ring and self destructing everything in path.

Having the ARB in there will keep you from breaking side/spider gears. It doesn't help with the ring and pinion.

Maybe marginally, if the stock carrier has more flex in it than the ARB? But functionally, you're limited on the strength of the small gear set.

No regear. ARB in for maybe 9 yrs
