front axle weight? (1 Viewer)

So I'm looking into shipping the front axle off my parts rig... Dimensions I can figure out, but I've got no idea on the weight. Anybody know what a stock '85 FJ60 front axle (complete hub-to-hub) weighs?

For that matter, what's the cheapest way to ship one to California from Colorado? Forward Air?

Alone only the housing, maybe 200 pounds.

Alex, the last time I got a quote from ForwardAir was about $100 for shipping 150lbs to east coast from Sacramento.

That's pretty reasonable. If Tapage is right on the housing weight, the complete axle might be 350lbs. We'll see...

Anybody else have more information?
