Front ABS Sensor Replacement (1 Viewer)

I ordered a front driver's side ABS sensor for a 1997 LC and received the sensor pictured on the left from a used parts reseller, my sensor removed from the truck is pictured on the right. The reseller insists he sold me the correct part, but the top and bottom are so obviously different that I have doubts. Can anyone confirm if the left ABS sensor is a correct replacement part for what's seen on the right? Thanks.

Left is the older style. Both will work without issue.

This comparison photo is really helpful. I understand @jonheld that the old style (pictured on the left) will work in a 1997, but are the newer ones pictured on the right compatible with the older 93-94 rigs? I assume so since the tone rings and the pumps are the same, but the magnets look very different on the bottom, but I hate to make an expensive assumption. Any advice is appreciated.

Considering that all the internals are the same between the years in question, there's no reason to think they would not be compatible.
