I also managed to source an HDT exhaust manifold and a Mambatek adapter (CT26 to T3).

That's about it for now. Just waiting for some free time to get going on the turbo install.

Whaddya mean you’re not a great storyteller?

Betty is looking better than ever. Glad I got to drive her last weekend...but I’m gonna be glad when you turn up the tempo with the Holset. I forgot how much you have to stick your foot in it to get her going off the line.

Just like a mighty 2F... but not for long. Crusty would get up and go so I will be interesting to see the difference with Betty.

Started cleaning up the exhaust manifold. Wire brush and wire wheel off the surface rust. I also tapped the manifold for the EGT probe.

Cured all afternoon in the sun.

should have done it last week, today was a cool front compared to the last week.

looks nice man

I was going to reuse the rings on the exhaust manifold since it looked like a pain in the ass, but changed my mind and used my Dremel with a cutoff wheel to remove the metal rings. Wasn't too bad after all.

There are two orings and two metal sealing rings that are needed. Oh, there's also a small cylinder in there too.

The two orings go in the grooves first and then the metal rings. When I removed the old ones, the orings were basically carbon. The manual says to stagger the metal ring joints.

I was then able to build up the turbo/manifold assembly on the bench.

Here's a pic of my turbo drain fitting and the weld on AN-10 bung that I'm going to weld to the oil pan. Shouldn't have any flow issues.

My buddy @Mr Cimarron had some cloth buckets that he traded me for the bench seats. I was able to swap in the passenger side today. Tons of room now for a 10 inch Tuffy center console.

Wow, it's been a while since I updated this thread. I finally decided to get going again on the turbo upgrade after towing my little Bantam trailer to a weekend campout. Boy she was slow on the hills!

I started clearing out the engine bay and also soaked the nuts/bolts on the exhaust manifold.
