Freeborn red with grey steelies on 33's post your pics

Hey I am looking for Pics of red FJ40's with the grey steelies on 33's . I did do a search, but not much came up. I am restoring my 4o and the PO saved the original steelies. I am planning on putting these back on with some 33's. The big debate is what tire width and what color to paint the 40. I want 9.5, but I also want MT BFG's so .....looks like it might be 10.5. Also feeling undecided about the color. Can you guys please post lots of pics for me with this setup?

The lockouts are not OEM.


The toolbox is not OEM.

I did search, but didn't really find what I was looking for. Lots of red, lots of steelies, a few together, but even fewer with that combo on 33's . Just looking for a few more that I know are out there that haven't been posted yet.

There's a local guy down here, I think his user name is HK Forte, that has a freeborn red cruiser with grey steelies on 33". Try doing a search for his rig.

I,ve got a red 77 40...Looking to do the same as you...only I,m going with 33x10.50x15s....I,ve narrowed it down to the KO muds from BF GOODRICH or INTERCO'S SS-M16 radials...Sorry no pics at this time ...have not purchased yet. BTW...I,m running a OME 2 and half inch..closer to 3" lift...Want the tuck inside the rear wheelwells with cutting on my original tub

Look for Romer or nakman's old 40 using the search. It was a red 77'ish 40. Both owned the truck at some point, and I think one of them powder-coated the wheels gray.

Sterring wheel on the correct side, Ha ha....... You want to talk about confusing? I have 2 FJ45's in South Africa for my business, and an FJ40 in the USA for my personal use. The first week in either place I'm constantly getting into the passenger side of them!
