Dan,

I live about 10 miles (as the crow flies) from the area that got dumped on. We had light rain for about 1 minute. When I saw the news reports on TV I thought maybe I was living in a different dimension. It was like WTF are they talking about.

I travel to Southgate quite a bit, visiting a factory the company I work for owns. Talked to them this morning. Since the building wasn't really meant for that type of weather things are not looking very good.

I hear ya...I had a cloud burst hit my house about 7 months ago that resulted in 4-5 inches of rain and several trees on my house.

Plus side...new front porch, fewer trees, and some fresh paint!

I cleared the trees and insurance paid me for it and waived my deductible.
