Frayed Distributor Wire

I was inside the distributor today and observed that there is a short yellow wire that is frayed in the middle and missing all of its insulation. Is this something that I should replace or worry about. I'm hoping that @65swb45 will chime in.

I believe it's a ground wire, no insulation needed. @4Cruisers rebuilds distrubitors.
