Frame Question - 72 frame for 78 body?

I am in the middle of a 78 "renewal" project. The frame is OK but I have found a better 1972 frame and my question is whether or not the 78 body will fit on the 1972 frame.

It will fit. It will be a little tight at the rear crossmember. Make sure you have some helpers to do the swap.

basicly the same but taillight mounts are different.

you may have clearance issues with the center cross member and the rear of the t-case/trans. I put a 77 2F and 4 speed trans into my 72. It was a tight fit.
