Picked my frame up from the sand blaster yesterday, I need to get it off the trailer and start getting some paint on it today. That is a buddy's sailboat trailer, it worked great for transporting. The woman that did the work said she had never done a Toyota frame that was that clean and solid, she said most of the time they are full of holes. Overall I'm very pleased. Pics from last night when I got home:
Front gas tank lift (~1-1/4"):
Brace for steering box:
Still trying to figure out how to get all the media out of the rails, I spent some time with an air blow gun last night, my driveway looked like a beach with I quit.
I kept this frame solid with annual coatings of 90W gear oil. It was a giant PITA to wash that stuff off, but I submit the following photo as proof that it works. The black paint is from the factory, that is the rear crossmember that we all know usually gets really crusty. Mine is still pristine.
