A buddy lifted his Taco 3" using a Bilstein kit. He also replaced the UCA and up the tire and wheel size. He would get some contact at the forward cab body mount during moderate flexing.
He brought me the rig and I set out to make some added clearance.

I used a 5" hand grinder with a cut-off blade (passengers side).

I raked the cut back slightly. I tacked in a cover plate while conforming the plate to the cut profile. A wet shop towel wrapped around the body mount kept the the heat off the rubber.

Rinse and repeat on the drivers side. Black enamel paint applied.

He purchased these wheels from a Toyota dealer in CA for $158 ea. They look great on his rig.

With the wheel turned to full lock the clearance is still good.

He took it off road and was happy to report back no further contact while flexing.
The cover plates are 10 gauge thick.
