Ige,

You can stop taunting us and go away now. Unless, of course, you are going to drive down and park that 3FE thing in my driveway and hand me the keys and title. :grinpimp:

Yer driveway is completely un-safe...

The damn thing would be stripped by morning.....

:ban:

I'm thinking we could have a nifty door prize for paid members at the January meeting.

... or have an essay contest,
... or arm wrestle,
... or an HDC raffle,
... or select a deserving member based on age, club participation, looks, amount of hair,
... or draw straws,
... or a boxing match,
... or longest drive to each meeting,
... or number of kids,

We'll think of something, I am certain of that.

I like the idea for the one for the longest drive... I may have that covered if I come to the January meeting. :flipoff2:

You are correct. Guess I'll have to store it at your place :grinpimp: Drive her on down Ige, I've got everything under control.

Ige,

You are doing a fine job on that FJ62. Have you thought about what you want to do with the cargo area?

:D

-Mike-

already covered. it's got a tuffy drawer (thanks to tuffy for the donation - shameless plug), with a nice carpeted deck courtesy of one of our members. it's even outfitted back there with a powertank, version 2 books by charles wells for colorado and moab, fire extinguisher and spill kit (more shameless plugs for funtreks, advanced air, and another club, but i can't remember which one ). we've got a winch kit and first aid kit coming also.

Yer such a decorator......:flipoff2:

And given the bile and vitriole spilled over that topic I shutter to think about any debate on the club's *need* for a shared 62.

I don't recall any bile or vitriole on the chainsaw, but the 62 would, I would think, have to go directly to the highest bidder without passing go etc. I agree with you it should just be individual efforts...

Already covered?!? Bummer. When can we see pics of them and do they match the rest of the interior?

-Mike-

:grinpimp:

not exactly martha :D it's black and the interior is brown, but doesn't black go with everything.

here's a link to a crappy pic of the rear. the bottle will eventually be upright in the corner, but we need to modify the deck for that first. if you go to the menu on the left, you can hold the cursor over the raffle vehicle link and you'll get a multiple choice menu. one of the choices is the gallery. lots of pics during the build up.

Ige,
We're having a little 'inside joke' fun with you but, trust me, it is not at your expense. Explaining the humour wouldn't work. This has been some banter between the 80-pansies and the hard-core guys over the past 5 years.

That FJ62 looks great and I can appreciate the work that you have personally put into that vehicle. Getting the parts is easy compared to the time and effort and many hours planning and installing everything. My hat is off to you Ige!

I'm game for us to buy some tickets. Then we have a drawing with the members names for the lucky winner. One ticket per member, then draw. You do not have to be present to win.

No harm, no foul, whoever gets it.

You 2 would argue with a stump.

Sharing was not suggested.
Essay contest was suggested. (My favorite)
Longest drive to the January meeting was suggested. (Michael's favorite.)
Pugilism would probably be Shawn's favorite. :D

Are Michael and I the only ones that read the posts?

Buy the tickets. After the club wins it, then the club members get a chance to bid on it. If that doesn't bring in "enough" money, we try MUD or EBAY. That would be a great way to turn $500 into several thousand more than $500. What kind of price could you expect to sell something like that for? $15-20K?

How about a suturing contest?

We could use Steve's head and bring in Nurse Ratched to be the judge. :D

You do know that Beno was an English professor at one time, right?

I didn't know that.
I also recall that Jon is a professional photographer and writer.

Maybe we should have a programming contest. ;)

Or, we could see who can accurately determine the yield stress safety factor for the front bumper in the region around the Hi-Lift jack point based on von Mises' Distortional Engergy Density Criterion, assuming that one tire is approximately 6" above the ground and there is an additional 300 lbs of gear distrubted evenly across the rear cargo area.
