What did you do after you had to cut out the middle crossmember?

I put in a 2" piece of tubing. Then cut it back out a couple weeks later and put in a 3" sq. tube.

I used the removed support brace and used it to make a custom x-member/tranny support.

Part of the problem is that I'm poly mounting the tranny and t-case at the frame and don't really have any other place to mount a crossmember unless I do it behind the t-case. Anybody just cut it out and not run one?
