Thank's Curtis, but my Mechanic with the papers of Toyota he do all the adjusts and it is all OK.. I think that the valve body is not working well o is the E.C.T

I'm spanish.

Miguel

Yes, the Tranny is just repaired one year ago and i order repar again with another specialist. It is all OK. What do you think ?

I'll be back in 1 Hour Curtis

Thank You

Miguel

I really think the cable could be the problem.

Insist that your mechanic adjust it a little in each direction, with a test drive in between.

How slow is the shift anyway? Many people here have a slightly slow shift from 2nd to 3rd, but it's "normal": Doesn't get any worse and doesn't cause any other damage. Again, adjusting the cable can usually cure it.

Curtis

Curtis, the slow shift is perhaps 2 seconds ore 3. Only in 2nd to 3rd, accelerating, only accelerating. If i don't accelerate it schift good.

Please put me a picture of that cable.

Why many people of your country have this " Problem ". I have a FJ 80 3FE ( SOLD ) and the Tranny works perfect always.

Thank you

Miguel

Has your mechanic looked into the shifting solenoids valves? I bet one of those went bad...maybe 2nd or 3rd....They are really easy to get to.. Just drop the pan..Good Luck.

Please, i need more comments.

Yours FZJ 80 ( 93-95 ) have the A442 F Tranny, yours have the button of ECT ( power ) ?.

Thanks

Miguel

In my experience with electronic controls, they go bad far less often than everything else. I had to replace a few ECMs needlessly (and get chewed out for it by AP) early on to learn that lesson.
What is far more often the problem is the wiring and connectors. Or, if there's an actuator involved, lack of lubrication, mis-adjustment or excessive wear.
