? for Metaltech tube fender guys (1 Viewer)

How wide did you make your lower support. What I am trying to figure out is if I should taper the width so the fender is narrower at the bottom than at the top, or match the straight line of the sheet metal skins included in the finishing kit. I have looked through all the pics and write-ups I could find, but nobody seemed to address that.

I think it will look better to taper it, just curious how others have done it.

Yeah, thanks. I had already read that one and it is helpful, but does not answer the question I posed. It APPEARS treerootCO has his tapered, but the angles can be deceiving.

Ramon! I have to say, Scott Wilson's metaltech fenders look awesome! I am really wanting a pair now, i say go for it, that way you can show them off to me in person when you get done (would be willing to lend a helping hand if needed).

Absolutely! It's a two man job, if you ask me...and I'm trying to do it myself. I'm sure if I had better tools (more clamps, better angle finder, etc.) it would be a lot easier. Make no mistake about it, these things are not a couple of hour project!

They are very nice, though. The bends match the apron real nice.

I hope these are the measurements you wanted. I measured from the centerline of the main fender tubes.
