In need of a cover for the flywheel............ the question though is with a 350 sbc (from an 82 pickup) mated to the 3 speed transmission (1972 FJ) am I looking for one from a chevy, or one from the toyota?

What bell housing?
You want a dust cover for the bellhousing used in your conversion. It will be a Chevrolet bellhousing but without seeing any pictures there is no way to point you to what you need. Some early bellhousings had the starter mounted to the bellhousing and later bellhousings had the starter mounted to the block. Once you determine which configuration you have you will know which dust cover to search out.

thanks. starter is mounted to the bellhousing. Ordered one from summit racing....... hope it fits
