I have been told to use both "red Lockrite" and "Silicone" on the bolts with re-installation. How do you put poth on?

This silicone like when doing plumbing?

Little dab of lockrite at very begining of threads and silicone on the end?

Sorry if these are stupid questions.

i've never heard of locktight on the bolts, but you use rtv/silicone to keep the engine oil from seeping thru the crank.

I haven't heard of the loc-tite on flywheel bolts, but I have used the Black RTV you can get at any store ie. checker/napa to seal them from oil coming out.

Cool. Just got some. Now do I screw on the bolts with it wet or let it dry for an hour like they recomend to do to make a gasket?

Apply to all the threads?

Thanks guys!

 i've always only used loctite on flywheel bolts

I only use loctite. It locks and seals the threads. I prefer blue. Red is OK if I don't have to take it apart again.
