Share your thoughts on heat and sound proofing the PIG?

As I work on procuring another body I have been reviewing other threads. Some obviously good options out there. Lizard Skin, Dynamat, etc, what's everyone's opinions on best product or combo of products?

Once this process done (although they are never finished) I truly intend on making this my daily driver.

@greenbeast In the thread about what would you do differently in your FJ45, @tornadoalleycruiser listed a very complete rundown of what he did on his 45 and did say the difference was significant… if I had better search skills, I would list that link …. You can probably find it easily…

Found it !

If anyone ever runs into their lab dropping a tennis ball down a drain without a cover, cause I’m sure it happens all the time, shop vac worked great for the extraction process.

Sounds like the time a GSD dropped a tennis ball in the toilet!
Then I am wondering why the plunger isn't working?
Plumber just laughed...

In the Navy, a friend made up a mix of diesel fuel and transmission fluid to use as a penetrating oil…never saw him have any rusted frozen parts as a marine mechanic

just passing that along
Yep, Mark Whatley has a recipe for this, ATF, diesel, and he had a 3rd ingredient. I can't remember what it was...

One of my children put a rubber ducky in the toilet and flushed it. I had to pull the whole toilet to get it out.

Not much cruiser time except driving to town a few times but cool things are happening!!

Tomorrow the wife and I start LONG road trip to Winters, CA to pick up 79 cruiser project. Mostly done body and everything else for a proper build from the well trusted fellow pig brother @Pigeaten (Don).

Hard to believe the luck in finding project in such nice shape to merge with Delancys mechanically complete old pig.

Few stops on way to help with some mud shipping but wife and I going to have a ball seeing what Route 66 sites we can.

Father in law letting me use his super nice car hauler since ours loaded with our belongings. Didn’t know it was high end aluminum and it pulls very nice! Don’t think mine would make it back with all its body panels!

With last name of Hamilton I’ve had a lifetime of answering to the Nick name “Hammy”.

So Hammy’s pig transport is ready for tomorrows epic road trip with my wonderful supportive wife!

760 miles one mudship pickup in ABQ and wife and I arrived in Gallup, NM a little while ago.

Staying at the historic El Rancho Hotel where many Hollywood stars stayed. Pics signed by stars line the walls, Katherine Hepburn, John Wayne, Gregory Peck and the list keeps going. Pretty nostalgic for sure. I’d loved to get the John Wayne room for the night but it was taken.

Worth a stop if anyone travels through this way.
