TenacityI did everything I could to avoid it
Hours and hours searching “universal aluminum reservoir” and couldn’t find anything I liked, or wouldn’t require some kind of modification.

What AC condenser did you go with?I’ll make a last January 2025 update, as the “Winter List” is almost completely knocked out. The goal was to knock out the rest of the work on the inner fender/core support assembly (‘doghouse’) and get it ready for sandblasting and paint. Got everything welded up that needed, re-worked the mounting for the power distribution panel, windshield washer fluid reservoir, and mounted up an AC condenser.

Much fab!The monumental win for my rapidly swelling OCD was the washer fluid reservoir. Unhappy with how the mounting and attachment for this generic aluminum reservoir was first developed, the mounting points were all scrapped and the reservoir reworked to fit the specific location planned for it.

What are tack weld clamps?Ordered some sweet exhaust pipe tack-weld clamps from a company called Ice Engine Works
What are tack weld clamps?
Ooh those DO look nice
Right?Ooh those DO look nice
Busy, busy!Thanks Bob.
Worked all weekend on loose ends and detail work.
Farmed out the doghouse to get sandblasted and primed.
Have my machinist doing some work for me. Expecting to hear from both of them any day now.
Worked on prepping the transmission hump for the new boots and paint. Had to do a little welding and chasing on it.
Welded on some new mounting tabs on the valance, ordered some spot weld t-nuts to replace the one that broke off.
Did a rough setup of the t-case twin sticks. Spent a couple hours looking for them (last seen in September of 2022), finally found them hiding under some rags in the Cruiser.
Filled the transmission (NV4500) and t-case (38mm split) with oil today. Bolted on the NV4500 shifter assembly and installed the shifter.
Ordered some sweet exhaust pipe tack-weld clamps from a company called Ice Engine Works. Thought I’d ordered them for 2-1/2” pipe and clamps showed up for 2-1/4”, so had to send them back.
Ordered up a bunch of stuff for the upgraded venting that’s going to be done on the fuel tank. Most of it is here, some yet to buy.
Setting up a large air dryer to use when I start spraying paint. Still have to determine where I’m going to put it all, but holding off on doing any painting until that’s done.
So yeah, multiple irons in the fire. No lack of inspiration or ambition.
Yeah.Busy, busy!
Didn't you buy an Everlast tig machine?building the exhaust
