flexing the sliders (1 Viewer)

I am posting here becouse I have an 80.
is some flexing of the sliders (up/down) normal?
How much movement is to be expected.
I am following George's instructions if that helps answer anything.

I was watching Maddbaggin's Slee's flex a bunch as he abused them this weekend, they looked like they were moving enough to hit the body?

I have george's design and they do deflect a little upon hard impact. Just construct them so they are low enough to allow1/4 to 1/2 inch deflection upward into the rocker panels. I would imagine that any slider used on such a heavy truck will deflect some.

I think some flexing is normal.

Mine are welded on and do flex some.

Last wheeling trip Stuckey came down on his slee sliders and even they flexed a little as well.

Agreed, if they were made strong enough for zero flex with a 5K lb truck slaming on them, they would be way heavy and expensive.
