Flathead Pass Update

I tried Flathead Pass a few days ago and approached from the West Side. Made it to just below the summit because snow is still pretty deep at the top. A few quad guys tried it, but didn't make it very far into the snow field. Estimating 2 or 3 more weeks before it is passable. For those of you wondering about all of the Forest Service closures, this isn't one of them. Ringing Rocks is also open if you're Jones'ing to get out.

PS was reminded very quickly why armor is needed on the drive down. lol

I could see the top (more or less). Guessing it was a quarter mile from the summit.

Had a Rover buddy attempt it about 2 weeks ago and his story matches Saul's report. The east approach is nearly impassable as well.

I'm betting the weather this week has pushed opening the trail back another week or two?
