Luckily, the shift lock is an almost unnoticeable fix to the shifter stuck in park. After reading here, sounds like it’s a solenoid issue (that is no longer available) as all lights function normally.
Not interested in rewiring non OEM parts to fabricate something that works - *unless* - this a serious underlying problem the vehicle is trying to tell me about.
