What years was 3rd row seating available? Any pics? Besides 3RD row, are there any years better than others?
I'm trying to get my wife looking at them and just heard about 3rd row seats. That's a must for her. I think she and the kids would be safer in an 80 than our mini van, not to mention 4WD in the foul weather. Thanks.

Third row seats were available from 1991-1992 FJ-80, and 1993-1997 FZJ-80. The 93+ have the bigger engine and 4-wheel discs, abs etc...they are more desireable.

Go to www.sleeoffroad.com and click on the newbie guide for everything you need to know.

What about that 4Runner of yours?

I don't know how old your kids are, but anything less than a teenager loves those back seats. Find a used one for sale somewhere and I go test drive it. You will all be sold on everything except gas mileage.

Thanks guys, I'll check out the newbie dept as well. My Runner is to small to haul everybody arund in, plus it will be set up for more difficult trails.
Thanks again!

It is unlikely that you will find any US 80 series without the 3rd row option. No worries though. If you *do* buy one without the 3rd row seats, PM me and I'll make you a smokin' deal on a nice set of tan leather seats from a '97 LX450. Somehow I ended up with 2 sets of 3rd row seats and don't use any of them.

More likely to find one that the owner has sold their seats to someone in NZ.

Now, Now

This is not the time to start in with the "my 3fe is better than your 1fz-fe, crap" Plain and simple, we have more letters, therefore, we win.
