FJ80 Birfield Interchangeability (1 Viewer)

New owner of '93 FJ80
Only had it a month and I already broke the front (driver side)outer axle/Birfield. Anyone know what is the interchangeability on a '93 Non-ABS FJ80? Specifically, can I put a '97 with ABS outer front axle into my non-ABS '93 FJ80? Thanks for any help you can give.

An ABS birf can be used in a non-ABS truck. You simply have an extra gizmo spinning around that does nothing and is not in the way.

More important is the height of the birfield. If you want to use a later birf in a 93 you will also need the later drive flange to go with it because the later version is taller.
