FJ62 Transmission Source

I’ve done my searching, but it appears that all of the discussion regarding this issue is at least a couple of years old. If I’m wrong about that, my apologies to all.

Anyway, I’m looking for a rebuilt or remanufactured A440 for my FJ62. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Before this thread becomes an endorsement of making a swap to the H55, let me say that I’m not interested in going that route. I realize it is an improvement over the automatic in many ways. However, I’m not really in need of those improvements for the way I use the vehicle.

Maybe try some of the larger shops like ACC, Cruiser Outfitters, Valley Hybrid, Torfab, etc. to see if they have one laying around from a customers swap that you can purchase. Don't know of anyone offhand that truly remanufactures them, usually a tranny shop does that hunting for you.
