What is the correct number for an OEM fuel filter for a US spec FJ62/3FE?

23300-69025
or
23300-69035

I’ve seen conflicting info. Or will both work in a 62?

Thanks, Matt. This screen shot from a big Toyota parts supplier stated that 69025 wouldn’t work for my 1990
FJ62 and suggested 69035 instead. Hence my confusion.

There's a clue here - note how the fitment section shows 1990, 1991, and 1992. 1991 and 1992 would be the FJ80.

And here - the fitment section shows 1988 and 1989.

Doesn’t matter what the fitment looks like.

There is only one correct part number for each iteration of the engine. Period.

End of story.

Thanks to @ToyotaMatt, @4Cruisers and @OGBeno for showing me the one way…

Just remember :

Don’t think 🤔 this step or 1st step before the FSM step by steps

Remove and burp
Your gas cap and tank prior to breaking loose any high pressure or low pressure fuel lines

U will be simply equalizing the system

You skip this step 1 u will
Have raw Pertrol spray in your face or roll down your fore arm then upper arm and burn the crap out of you pit !

Yes it burns 🥵 your skin

I
Always have a small fire extinguisher near by , I’m a safety conscious nerd. But that’s just me u have on near by you will
Never need it

I
Don’t and that a gamble

Just saying that’s the way I approach raw gas dripping on my shop floor

Use the new included copper crush rings and hand torque to fsm specs

Then your done and drive happy 🙂
