Anyone done this on their rig and if so, how'd ya do it? Thx

I'm looking at taking the seat out next month and having a machine shop make some type of bracket. I havn't had the seat out yet so I don't know what it is going to look like.

How far are you looking at moving your seat back?

Two inches will make a world of difference. The two inch seat extensions I bought from Classic cruisers for my former '76 FJ40 was the best money I ever spent on it. I think the 62's offer approximately 39 inches of legroom, while the 80 series offer 41. My seats are in very good condition, otherwise I would have considered a seat exchange. I've discovered that TLC custom builds extensions for the 60s that give two extra inches. They're expensive, but for me (6'5") it's worth it.
