FJ62 coolant capacity and water pump fan bolts. (1 Viewer)

Putting my rig back together after the whole "fan taking out my radiator" debacle....... I've got two questions. 1) how much coolant goes in the system? (So I know how much to buy). And 2) How do I keep the water pump from spinning while a) removing the sheared bolts from it and b) putting the new ones in?

if the water pump has never been replaced or its been a few years...now is the time to put a new pump on.

As I recall I used somewhere around 2 gallons of coolant...which is like 4 gallons 50/50 mix of water/coolant.

Wrap the old fan belt around it and use an impact wrench if a ratchet and socket does not work. X2 on replacing the water pump.
