hello, I have a 89 fj62. I am having a little trouble diagnosing my problem.

Ill start off by telling you what is new within the last 2-3k mikes

head rebuilt all OEM parts
injectors
fuel pump
filter
fuel pulsation dampener
pressure regulator
intake coupler off throttle body
adjusted kick down cable
tps sensor
cap rotor
plugs
wires
coil
set timing to 7
radiator
water pump
HD fan clutch
all heater hoses
thermostate
alternator
belts
both O2 sensors
exhaust
air filter
trans filter
performed Rodney flush

my issue is while under load the cruiser will "buck" feels like it is running out of gas or has a terrible miss, worst uphill or on the highway. To the point I almost pull over, but if I baby the throttle it has gotten me home a few times. at first i thought ignition and went after that, when that didn't work I went after fuel system and lastley after that didn't work I went after the trans.

now here is where I need a little help or confirmation. I performed a filter change and rodney flush today hoping that would solve the problem, It didn't. The filter/screen was fairly clean and the fluid was red and not burnt. My cruiser only has 124k on it.

What I did notice that was not normal to me is when I removed the trans cooler line and hung it in the bucket then started the engine, nothing came out! I proceded to fill the trans and finally was able get fluid to spit out of the line. It was not consistent and in a sputtering spitting kind of flow if you can even call it a flow.

my question is. Is my oil pump going out and causing a low pressure scenario? my low pressure light is not on. I am about to pull the transmission and take it to a shop, auto trans are alien technology to me! might be time for a H55f

thanks for all your help in the past, I read for hours and hours on here.

Sorry I can't help with any of the issues your having. I support the H55F swap! I/Georg did mine this year. Night and day difference, so much more drivable/enjoyable with the manny! Good luck!

check the EGR circuit; both vacuum and electric. double check adjustment on kickdown cable...but I'm leaning toward EGR...
