Heading down to the beach in the morning with the wife and friends. Loaded up the poles and beer/ice. Now I can tell my springs are shot. We will be also driving on the beach. This is my first trip and first time im getting to take the cruiser off-road. Will post pics of her out and about.:bounce:

Sweet man! I was just out at Carolina Beach (Freeman Park) on Labor Day weekend. This is the only pic I got:

Why the thing on the rear bumper? Not enough room in a 60?

It's nice to keep the sandy coolers and stuff out of the cruiser. It's very difficult to clean salty sand out of a car.

It's a surf fishing setup. That's just how we do down here!

Sorry I missed this--was in OIB, otherwise would have shot out there to say hey, soak some baits and drink some suds!

We had fish and bait in the coolers and chairs. I didn't want to smell squid and finger mullet all the way home. The cruiser was clean inside all the way home. Eknight wish you could of come we had a blast.

Y'all might really like Harkers Island and the Core Banks for beach driving, camping and fishing. Check that area out, they take you over on small ferries then set you out on your own.

There are some pretty sweet 40's, 60's and 62's around the area here. Met a guy in CB during a surf comp a month ago with a grey lifted/pizza cuttered 40 he just recently finished. Thing was eff'n sweet and I was unfortunately too busy to take a pic.

I, on the other hand, have the rough, stock, red 62 with the jegs stickers covering the spot where my crapped out front side markers used to be.

Hit me up anytime any of y'all are headed this way and need some info on the area.

I have never taken the FJ62 out their but I know what your talking about. I have done that trip with my 06 Tundra DC. Had a great time. I will let you know if we come back out to Wilmington maybe we can hitch up and do some wheeling.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Looks like a lot of fun. It's very motivating to see fun ways to use the FJ platform.
