Fj62 alternator in a FJ60

[SHERMAN FJ62]

Will a 80 amp alternator out of a fj62 fit and work on a fj60.

If so any mods?

i believe that they are mounted on different sides of the engines, and therefor the holding tabs(brackets) are different.

Brackets are different, as is the mounting on the alternator. I tried. I'm sure with some fabrication it's possible. They are wired differently too, but I think that can be overcome.

If you are desmogging the engine, you can replace the air pump and put alt in its place at the same time.

Which happens to be the side Toyota installed the alternator on the 22RE.
