After spending countless hours trying to make off-the-shelf items work for the wiper linkage bushing, I decided to get with a good friend of mine and see if he could develop a more permanent solution. Here is what he came up with for me. A new bushing that snaps together. I put a dab of superglue on the snap-ring after snapping them together just to make sure they didn't separate in the cowling. He suggested a drop of acetone to melt them together, but I was afraid of damaging the piece. I just replaced and installed the new bushing on both ends of my linkage with a bit of grease and everything is working like new. The original dust cover doesn't fit over the new bushings. I'll keep everyone updated on the durability over the net couple of rainy days. If anyone wants a set I can forward on his info and he can discuss pricing.
