Had safelite replace my windshield, it leaked. After they came out again and “fixed” the leak it started leaking again at the bottom corner of the windshield(in the picture) they put a bead of adhesive on outside of the weatherstripping but still leaks slowly. Any suggestions? Been thinking of possibly pulling back the weatherstripping and shoving a bead between windshield and weatherstripping.

Well, I had the same issue and it didn't get completely fixed until a new window was installed, following directions in the FSM to use a Urethane sealer in addition to the gasket. Don't know if Safelite did that or not.

Also used some of this to varying degrees of success by doing as you suggest and pealing back the gasket and injecting this stuff best I could on the side that was leaking.

They did a bead of sealant on the outside not between the rubber and glass

Is it leaking when sitting, driving or both?

I'd demand a do-over. That is some hideous work. Get a regional manager involved if you have to.
Have them order another Precision brand Gasket WBL F425 and start over. I'm a retired glass guy and that work angers me.

On a side note, never under any circumstance do you want to use anything silicone based to try and seal any water leaks on a vehicle body. Glass, doorseals, sunroofs, anything. Silicone harbors moisture and is very acidic (hence the smell) and will cause rust in very short order. Glass to rubber is ok but any silicone to metal will rust sooner than later.

Will go ahead and call them tomorrow. It’s still under warranty so might as well have someone fix their f ups. If they don’t fix it then I will request a refund and fix it myself.

Im having the same issues. I'm going to pull back the seal on the exterior and squeeze in all the silicone that itll take.
Alcohol helps wipe away the excess after scraping away what you can with a popsicle stick.
In the meantime I have been using a car cover when it rains

Talked to regional manager about the situation and told them to make sure they used the weatherstripping you mentioned. Guess we shall see what happens Tuesday. Will give y’all an update on how it goes.

Make sure they run a bead of either eurethane or liquid butyl on the backside of the outer seal. Should not have a problem like that and you never seal the outside of a rubber gasket like that, simply unprofessional.
If you are in the service industry, always leave a customers property in as good or better than you found it.

Print the FSM page and show it to the tech and the regional manager and explain that this is not a Ford Escort and that you expect them to properly install the glass per the FSM 'for the safety of your wife and children' (or whatever guilt trip you can lay on them).

Why didn't you use a factory windshield gasket? Doesn't landcruiserparts in NH have any more stock ones left?
I used one from them without the chrome strip insert and it worked with no leaks. Did not use any of those products mentioned
above either. Good Luck!

Well, talked to their regional manager and their “best” guy came out to look at the windshield and spray it for 10 mins.after 10 minutes they took a picture of calcium spot from old leak which was fixed many moons ago and left. After they left my wife called me at work and told me they didn’t do anything. I called their manager and their manager after I even sent him a picture of a puddle of water where it leaks bluntly told me that he doesn’t see the puddle of water in the picture and won’t be sending any more technicians to fix the issue. I told him that I want a number to corporate and a written letter declining further service. To be continued as I call the corporate tomorrow...

I used safelite because I needed them to come out to my residence as the vehicle been getting rebuilt. For safelite to provide warranty they have to use their products.

The retired glass man just said DO NOT USE SILICONE.

"Glass to rubber is okay", Dingus. You can see the water is seeping under the glass, in between the gasket.
What don't you understand about that? Or should I use all caps?

Check the seam sealer at the a pillar to roof rail apex. There’s a friggin gap you can stick your pinky in from the factory that they just gooped sealer into. Fast forward 30 years and water finds its way down the inside of the pillar and pools at the lower windshield corner... may not be you Ish, but worth a look at if you still find intrusion
